Details on Arizona Casinos
In the 1990’s casinos were legalized in Arizona as long as they were located on Native American reservations. Arizona gambling is limited to tribal casinos, horse racing, and the official state lottery. All casino gambling activities are monitored and governed by the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compacts, which are agreements between the state of Arizona and 21 separate Native American tribes.
Native American Tribal lands in Arizona take up more than 20 million acres, that’s more than a quarter of all the land in Arizona. All proceeds from Arizona’s tribal casinos are required to be used for charity, or to the benefit of the tribal governments.
In early 2017 Arizona passed new legislation banning greyhound racing in the state. This ended the 72-year legacy of greyhound racing in Arizona, which was, at one time, the dominant form of legal gambling within the state
Casino gambling in Arizona today generates profits of about $100 million per year. Those profits have becomes a main income source for the participating tribes, according to the Arizona Indian Gaming Association.

Hoover Dam
The dam is among the great engineering marvels in the world and it was constructed between 1931 and 1936. It crosses the Colorado River that links Arizona and Nevada. The dam is 726 feet high with 1,244 feet long and it holds back Lake Mead, which is known as the largest artificial lake in the United States. You can explore by walking across the dam. Tours of Hoover Dam or the Power plant are available. The visitor center houses a museum on the dam, it also features a café where you can eat.

Jerome Arizona Ghost Town
This ghost town was once the fifth largest city in Arizona, and was a former mining town. There are several shops and places to eat along the main street. You can visit the Gold King Museum and the Sliding Jail which was slid to its current location 2,500 feet away from where it was first built.

Devil’s Bridge Trail, Sedona

Havassu Falls are located in the Grand Canyon.
